Greetings one and all!
It’s been forever since I’ve posted something here, not that I haven’t mentally kicked myself every day for not having done so. So much going on–at work, at home, with the books and everything around them–it’s hard to know where to start, but the short version is there’s lots of news, which I’ll share over the coming days.
The Pale House is finished. Typeset, reviewed, re-reviewed, you name it, it’s been done to it. It’s due for publication on July 1st, and you can already find it on Amazon. I’ve posted a sneak preview of part of the prologue here…!
I also got my first official mention in a long article in Publishers Weekly–Where One Death Is a Crime (But a Thousand Is a Statistic)–about detectives in wartime. Some fascinating reads were listed, but the highlight of the article was seeing my name and Reinhardt’s mentioned along with Philip Kerr and his hard-boiled Berlin private eye, Bernie Gunther. Be still my beating heart…!
As for The Man From Berlin, it’s still doing really well, and once again, thank you to all of you who have taken the time to get in touch through the website, or on Facebook. It means a very great deal to me to hear from you. Thanks as well to all those who have posted a review – and to all of you who haven’t, what are you waiting for?!
